4 months - 4 Meses

It has been 4 months since this baby arrived and she is still here. I'm wondering when she will go back to where she came from...I'm starting to think she will never go away.

She had the Dr. appointment last week, and I heard she had 2 shots and she didn't like it very much...now she knows how I feel when I get vaccinated.

Isabella is growing a lot, and seems to be very funny. I can see mom and dad laughing when they try to feed her cereal and she makes funny faces and spits it out.

She loves to be in the exersaucer, and I love it too. I take advantage of how low it is to the ground and then I lick her when dad has his back turned. She screams, I laugh...payback!

Halloween was fun around here, both her and I got dressed as flowers. She was ugly, I was cute.

It is starting to get cold again and I'm enjoying the time out in the yard with the leaves. I really like the Fall.

It's been too long!

Our family has been very busy in the past couple of months. They have been going to weddings, mom has travelled and Isabella continues to grow. I continue to sleep and snore.

Here is a recent picture of Isabella, mom has been working hard to teach her to stick out her tongue the same way I do. That is because mom wants to make her as pretty as I am.

I'm still here people

So after a long hiatus, I finally made my blog post a couple of days ago to show the world a two month old, screaming little baby that has plagued my life. Something tells me that Mom and Dad aren't going to send her to the pound....

I guess it really isn't that bad. She starts screaming each day around 4 - 5 AM, which interrupts my beauty sleep (no comments from the peanut gallery here). I'm a bulldog, I need my beauty sleep! I normally fall back asleep after Mom feeds Isabella, but then Dad comes down and starts banging around in the kitchen to make Mom's breakfast and lunch. He has the audacity to try to kick me outside then as well.... I mean, seriously, who in their right mind starts the day at 5 AM? This isn't the military!!!!

Mom and Dad disappear for a few hours during the day (they call it work, I call it a relief), then they come back in around 5 - 6 PM with the kid again, and she is DEMANDING! I think I need to start crying like that for attention. She gets food whenever she screams. I think I might get ice cream....

Dad left for a couple of days to Boston this week, and Mom was more frazzled than normal (never apply the word "frazzled" to her hair though...Dad got smacked one day for that). She made it through though, and Dad is back. He deserting her again today to go play golf with Uncle Bo and Grandpa Denny. But as a bright point, I'm going to have a lot of people to drool on tonight. Mom and Dad are having their friends over for the Chiefs game, and the kids like to come pet me. It's just like it should be...I'm the center of attention.

Well, my paws are tired, so no more for now. More to follow later when I'm stuffed with leftover food the kids didn't want (they sneak me their pizza scraps...Yummy).

Month 2 - Mes 2

I know it has been a long time since I have written, but seriously who has time with a screaming baby?
Isabella has been all over the place already and she just turned two months today.
To briefly recap she has visited several restaurants including:

Paradise India
Piropos
Fogo de Chao
Lidia's
Melting Pot
Oklahoma Joe's
BBQ Shack

She has also been to the lake, on a boat and then visited a vineyard in Herman MO. This baby gets to travel more than I do!

Last night she slept 8 hours for the first time, Mom about cried of joy.

Mom has been back to work for 2 weeks now, and they seem to be doing well with little sleep but a lot of love.

Mom and Dad were very happy and thankful for all the help they got from Grandma Angela, she stayed with us for 6 weeks I miss all the food she gave m
e behind mom's back...

I hope to be posting more often, enjoy Isabella's one and two month old pictures

Week 1 - DONE

Mom and Dad brought home this little squealing rat a few days ago...  It's been a full week now, and it shows no signs of going away.  I think that I'm stuck with it.  Luckily, Mom's family is here right now, so I can drool on them for a while, and they pay attention to me.  For some reason, Mom and Dad are busy drooling over this little raton (I think they call it Isabella).  She is actually kind of like me....  She sleeps most of the day, only waking up to get some food and stretch her arms.  Hmmm, maybe I can get to like this little thing.

I'm posting a picture of her with Mom and Dad to show you how much prettier I am than her.  I mean, seriously...  Who would wear purple bows?

Happy B-Day! - Feliz Cumpleaños!

Dad celebrated his b-day today. Mom and Dad spent the day together working in the bathroom and ate indian buffet for lunch. The bathroom is progressing very nicely. As long as Isabella stays in mom's belly, dad thinks he will be done with the shower tomorrow. Dad should get his wish.

We all hope Isabella will hold off until the 27th...but nobody knows if she will.

New ride for Isabella - Nueva nave para Isabella

I don't mean the Corolla, I mean Isabella's new ride... The McLaren. My Grandpa Lucho, Grandma Angela, and my aunt Natalia got her the stroller. I wanted to ride in it, but Mom and Dad didn't let me. Why is it that this little ball in Mom's tummy gets all the cool stuff, and I just get a new $10 kennel liner? Something tells me that this isn't going to be fair... I mean, seriously, throw me a bone here (literally!)....

Champi!!!!

I got to see Champi this weekend. As always it is SOOOOO nice to have him stop by even if it is for just one day or two. Mom and dad were both very happy to see him as well. Mom said Isabella must have liked him too because she was kicking mom a lot while he was here.

Here is a picture dad took this morning, you can tell the summer and the 36 weeks of pregnancy are taking a toll on Mom since she is puffy as a blow fish.

The end of an era - El fin de una era

Today mom and dad said good-bye to their trusty pink Corolla. They did so with mixed feelings. I'm including a picture of their new Corolla, as you can see this time it's gray.

More Bathroom news

Remodeling seems to be going well, I see a lot of trash sacs and I hear dad yelp in pain a lot...a sign of progress. The countertops are in, and the faucets installed. I know dad painted last night and after he was done he told mom he hated the color as it reminded him of baby puke...well I guess he won't need that as a reminder very soon.

He is planning on working as much as possible during the weekend, so their plans of going to the kiddo's party on Sunday have changed. That means I get to keep them all to myself!

Still to do:
Shower
Finish tub install
Floor
Toilet
Lights
and...repaint...

Poor dad has a lot of hours ahead of him, and mom has many more nights of "wobbling" up and down the hallway.

I'm including a picture of the baby puke walls

Class time!

Hmmm, Mommy has been coming home recently with a look of sheer horror. Either she has been witness to a meat packing plant, or she has gone to the newborn care and birthing classes. She muttered something about placenta and afterbirth, but I didn't understand any of it. All I caught was that I'm supposed to get a new toy that some little brat has rolled around in.... I guess that the new toy is a peace offering from the little invader that will be here in just a few weeks. I'm excited to see her, but not sure how it is going to change life for me. Will I still get to rub my butt on the couch? Will I still get to lick Mom's face during movies? Are they going to yell at me for snoring too loudly??? So many questions, so little time....

Demolition!!! Demolición!!

What are all those noises! It seems this house is about to fall. My dad has been very busy remodeling the bathroom, from what I can tell it is going very well and he is doing a great job. Here is one of the pictures...

Early Mother's Day!

Mom looks very happy, today she received some early mother's day gifts. She was very moved to see that Tontalia (aka Natalia) sent her a basket of Godiva chocolates over the mail. The basket looks amazing...I really hope she shares some with me, but I doubt it.

Isabella was very considerate and gave mom a certificate to get a massage and her nails done, that is the least she could do after all the back  pain she is causing my mommy.

Tomorrow they have their child birthing class, I'm sure dad is "really happy" to go and watch the scary videos. Then in the evening they will go over to Bo and Lisa's for dinner...I hope they take me so I can see Gus and KC!!!

Baby Shower

So, there were a bunch of people here today, including some really cool babies....  I hope that my new sister is half as cool as these guys were.  One of them (Alex) gave me a ton of treats and laughed a lot.  I like him.... a lot....  He can come visit any time.

So Mom was all weird today.  She dressed up and had a whole bunch of women in the living room cutting out pictures, eating a lot of food (they gave me NONE), and doing all kinds of games.  Did they invite me????  Of course NOT!!!!  I'm a woman too!!!!  I can do the games!  All I have to do is drool on the right spot of the magazine and I win candy bars....  Boooooooooo.

Dad's friends Trevor and Nikol visited from South Dakota, and one of his all-time best friends, Emily, came in from St. Louis to see Mom.  Ems is really cool.  She has Satanic cats (Harry and Ozzy) and a cool dog-friend (Boomer).  I got to chill out with them a few weeks ago at their crib, but Ems didn't bring my buddy along.  I'll have to convince Mom to make another trip to see him.  I think he's kind of cute....

Soooooo, Mom got a whole bunch of gifts from all of her friends, and she is VERY happy about it.  She was telling Dad how thoughtful and generous her friends are.  Of course, NONE of them brought ME anything....  Obviously not very thoughtful...

Well, I'm going to post a couple of pictures from Mom's shower today, and one from her recent Cancun trip.  Of course, they never  take me anywhere on vacation, but that's okay, because I got to hang out with Gus and KC when they were out of town, so I think I got the best end of that deal.  Until next time....WOOOOOOOOF..... slobber.... drool.....

Happy Easter! Felices Pascuas!

I've had a wonderful weekend. Got to spend it at the lake with grandpa Dennis and Gus, and KC. Mom caught the biggest fish and she was very happy. I'm including a picture of my pudgy mom and one of the easter bunny.

I'm here!!! Estoy aqui!!!

I know it has been a while since I last posted, I've just been sleeping more than usual. Mom and Dad have been very busy lately.

We loved our trip to St. Louis, then Mom went to San Francisco with her girlfriends (Rachel, Angela and Jackie) I heard they had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed the weather.

Yesterday, Mom and Dad went to Weston and visited grandma Kat, then met Andy and Bridget for dinner. They had a great time and loved seeing all of them.

Today they have plans to go see Bo and Lisa, I will be chilling here at home watching the snow come down.

This is one of Mom's pictures from California. She loved the winery, but missed drinking the wine.

To St. Louis!! A St. Louis!!

We are all going to visit Emily and Jeff and all the lovely pets!!!! I love road trips, I get to sleep in the back seat of the car and snore. I will post pictures, including some of the large belly when I come back.
Mom is doing well, she is already 25 weeks. Isabella, is growing and kicking mom a lot every day. Sometimes it looks as if there is an alien living in her belly, very cool.

Isabella Who? Quién es Isabella?

I have been hearing this name a lot lately, ever since a week ago they had the sonogram done. Mom is already 22 weeks, she looks pretty happy and comfy. The past couple of weeks have been fun, I got to see Bo and Lisa two weekends in a row, they look very happy!

I also got to see Shay, Ana, Abby and my grandpuppy parents :)

I'm including the latest picture of Mom's belly.

20 Weeks!! 20 Semanas!!

Oh my GOD!!!!  Mommy is getting pudgy!!!  (ummmm, don't tell her I said that....I mean, she looks sleek and sexy)....  She is now at 20 weeks, which means we are over halfway through this.  I'm just waiting for the squealing little human kiddo...  Finally I will have someone with more snot than me.  I've been waiting for this moment for 5 years...

I included Mommy's picture below.  Doesn't she look ummmmmm, great and svelte???  :-)

Mom is on her way to London - Mamá hacia Londres

I heard that mom is doing well, very jetlagged and on her way to London. She will meet with her friend Heather and spend Saturday being a turist. She is coming home on Sunday. She misses dad very much and she thinks the MCO is growing so much her belly is going to explode. She sends her love to everyone!

Mom is travelling!!!!

Poor Mom.... All I heard all night long was how she was late for her flight...

It turns out, Continental Airlines just sucks in Newark, NJ. The ticket agents are real jerks. First, flight control in Newark delayed her plane from Kansas City to Newark by 3 hours! That was enough to bump her off of her original flight straight to Dublin. They rebooked her on another flight that would go through Paris, then to Dublin and get her there 8 hours later (almost 20 hours of travel time).

Instead, they refused to let her board the plane because they didn't want to take her checked luggage (one measly little bag that weighed 17 pounds). They made her go search for her bag from a luggage claim, which made her miss her flight to Paris. So now, she is stuck in Newark, New Jersey (the armpit of the Northeast U.S.A.) until tomorrow night at 10 PM! She just wasted a full day in New Jersey because of these idiots...

Because of this, I heard that MCO is not happy with Mom... Maybe it has to do with the fact that Mom hasn't eaten since 10 AM and is starving right now. Poor Mom...

Dice Maya:
:-S " Chao.... Besos....

Name poll results! Resultados de la encuesta de los nombres!

I have counted the results and according to the polls the choices for girl and boy names are: Natalia and Sebastian. I know mom and dad are still debating names but they appreciate the input.

Gracias Abuelos y Tontalia! Thanks Abuelos and Tontalia!

I got some boxes in the mail!!!
I really can't wait to try and climb on the jungle swing that aunt Tontalia sent. Mom said it is for the baby, but I don't see a baby... so it is for me!
I also saw the new car seat and some sort of feeding device that Champi and Mumma sent. I can see how I will use the seat, but the feeding device...well I will just stick to my dry dog food.
Mom and Dad were very moved  by such generosity, as far as I'm concerned I'm just happy to use sniff all the new stuff.

MCO is noticeable! Ahora sí se ve Rena!

I can see but I can't smell the MCO...well I really can barely smell my own tail. Finally now at 17 weeks I can see there is something in that belly. I wonder if it will bring me new chew toys...
I have posted more belly pictures in our picture site, so go check them out.

Mom and dad wanted to share what the baby's room is looking like these days. They have been working to put it together. I wanted them to include some of my squiky toys but they didn't like my idea...

Comments from the Osorio's...Comentarios de los Osorio

I'm posting this as a request from grandpa Lucho aka "Champi". Tontalia's picture is followed by a comment from Champi that loosely translated reads: "While Denissita develops rena, Steve develops his belly"

Gracias Nati! Thank you Nati!

Aunt Tontalia knows how to make me laugh...
Natalio...muy hermoso :)

Tontalia's work of art!

Mi aunt tontalia (Natalia) is the best artist in the whole world. I had forgotten to post her lastest work of art. She promised me today to make more drawings if I posted this one.

Cold weather...El Clima está Helado

I LOVE this weather, mom has to come get me every time I'm playing outside because I really enjoy not feeling my ears. I make mom mad because I make her chase me. When dad calls I always come, mom doesn't like that.

Dad has worked with Denny all weekend putting up crown moulding, mom is very happy and in return she has been going wild cooking for all of us all weekend. Dad says mom has been eating too many twinkies. I don't get it because she tried one this week and hated them. Must be a Colombian thing.

Speaking of Colombian things, she has been missing everyone. She decided to make pandebonos, I even got to try them. They looked ugly but tasted good. It made her smile.

Home Sweet Home...Hogar Dulce Hogar

I love the smell of my kennel, nothing beats that. I loved staying with KC, but being home is awesome. Mom seems to be getting better. I don't hear the deadred tea pot everyday...now I smell the coffee.

I saw this new dresser in the car, apparently dad bought it and is waiting for someone to help him get it upstairs, so mom complaints about driving all day with that big thing in the car. I'm sure they will figure it out.

They seem to be taking it easy, I like having them home.

This is some of Natalia's artwork. She has been having a great time in Perú. I know mom really wants to see the pictures once she is back.

Back to the USSR mmmmm, I mean USA

Now I hope you have that Beatles song stuck in your head...

I just heard some great news! Mom and Dad (and my still-forming rival for attention) are on their way back from Colombia! Dad told me that he had a nice bottled suprise for Aunt Lisa, and some goodies for his friends as well.

They are flying to Bogota this afternoon, spending the night, then hopping a plane very early for Houston. It will be a long day for them, but they will be back tomorrow night... I'm kind of bummed, because as much as I like them, I'm going to miss my pal KC... Her butt smells good... Guess I'll go back to snoring in my own kennel and not bothering Aunt Lisa's neighbors...

Mom did tell me that they saw another sonogram in Colombia. Evidently, they had the 3-d sonogram, and it was just as creepy as I thought... Looks like I'm going to have to live with the Terminator baby... Hopefully it doesn't realize it can shapeshift, otherwise, I'm really in trouble...

Anyway, here's hoping that Mom and Dad fly safely, and I should see them in a day and a half...
