Cold weather...El Clima está Helado

I LOVE this weather, mom has to come get me every time I'm playing outside because I really enjoy not feeling my ears. I make mom mad because I make her chase me. When dad calls I always come, mom doesn't like that.

Dad has worked with Denny all weekend putting up crown moulding, mom is very happy and in return she has been going wild cooking for all of us all weekend. Dad says mom has been eating too many twinkies. I don't get it because she tried one this week and hated them. Must be a Colombian thing.

Speaking of Colombian things, she has been missing everyone. She decided to make pandebonos, I even got to try them. They looked ugly but tasted good. It made her smile.

Home Sweet Home...Hogar Dulce Hogar

I love the smell of my kennel, nothing beats that. I loved staying with KC, but being home is awesome. Mom seems to be getting better. I don't hear the deadred tea pot everyday...now I smell the coffee.

I saw this new dresser in the car, apparently dad bought it and is waiting for someone to help him get it upstairs, so mom complaints about driving all day with that big thing in the car. I'm sure they will figure it out.

They seem to be taking it easy, I like having them home.

This is some of Natalia's artwork. She has been having a great time in Perú. I know mom really wants to see the pictures once she is back.

Back to the USSR mmmmm, I mean USA

Now I hope you have that Beatles song stuck in your head...

I just heard some great news! Mom and Dad (and my still-forming rival for attention) are on their way back from Colombia! Dad told me that he had a nice bottled suprise for Aunt Lisa, and some goodies for his friends as well.

They are flying to Bogota this afternoon, spending the night, then hopping a plane very early for Houston. It will be a long day for them, but they will be back tomorrow night... I'm kind of bummed, because as much as I like them, I'm going to miss my pal KC... Her butt smells good... Guess I'll go back to snoring in my own kennel and not bothering Aunt Lisa's neighbors...

Mom did tell me that they saw another sonogram in Colombia. Evidently, they had the 3-d sonogram, and it was just as creepy as I thought... Looks like I'm going to have to live with the Terminator baby... Hopefully it doesn't realize it can shapeshift, otherwise, I'm really in trouble...

Anyway, here's hoping that Mom and Dad fly safely, and I should see them in a day and a half...

Home alone

This is the best vacation EVER!  I'm sniffing butts with KC, and Lisa is giving me all kinds of good treats (like the shredded chicken that Dad bought, but Mom didn't want to give me....stupid Mom....).  It's kind of mean that my parents deserted me, though.  From what I've seen from the pictures that they have emailed me, they are having a blast...

They told me that on Friday they flew to Bogota to hang out with my aunt Natalia.  Sounds exotic....  Of course, Steven was deathly ill from some nastiness he caught on the trip to Boston, so he was hacking out a lung on the way down.  Good thing he didn't stick around to give it to me...  I can't breathe as it is (damn short snout...  Not elegant like KC's..  I hate genetics.  Next time, I'm going to request reincarnation as a German Shepherd or something that commands respect...  My short little snout just generates sympathy...snort snort....sneeze).

Then they jumped a flight to Cali, where Grandma and Grandpa Osorio live.  From what I've heard, there is a shorter, smaller, uglier Maya that lives there.  Hmmm, makes me wonder...  That Tulio (Collie) sounds kinda cute...  He's a little tall for me, but you never know...  I'll have to watch re-runs of Lassie to see him...

Poor Aunt Natalia and her boyfriend Alfonso (aka "Hans", because he looks like a European) drove from Bogota to Cali (about 10 hours), but got stuck in a landslide about halfway through, and ended up spending about 13 hours on the road...  They eventually made it safely though.

Mom tells me that she will be uploading some pictures soon of the kids' party...  Every year they sponsor a toy drive that brings in a ton of toys for poor children that live around their city.  This year, there were more than 300 people at the event!!!!!  It's a good thing that they brought down 30 extra toy cars and 40 shirts to give away, otherwise, they would have completely run out, and some kids would have gone away empty-handed!

Oh, and Dad got in a wreck today...  Not too bad, but some completely idiotic, drunk moron rear-ended Grandma Angela, which caused her to hit the car in front.  Then, the moron ran off!!  They called the cops, and had the private security guards call in to the main post to help track down the car, but Dad ended up pushing the car through some of the Cali streets..  What a sight!  A gringo pushing a Colombian car!!!

It's  a VERY good thing that the "yucky monster" took hold of Mom today, because Denisse was not in the car.  She stayed home, and wasn't involved (thank goodness)...

I hear that Grandpa Luis will come back to Cali on Tuesday.  He's been up in Louisiana on a business trip, so they haven't been able to see him....

Well, I'm about posted out....  I'll post some pictures as soon as Mom sends them.

Graduaction Pictures!!! Fotos del Grado!!!

I love Lisa and she loves me back (not as much as KC). Thank you very much for taking all the pictures!!! I know they have already been uploaded on the link to the right.

There seems to be a lot of activity around me today, they keep talking about going to their graduation ceremony. I'm wondering if their liked their obedience classes as much as I did. I even have a picture.

Ocho semanas...... Eight Weeks!!!

So I am sitting here thinking....What are these big ugly clunky things in the middle of my living room? Those stupid humans left more plastic stuff in one of my favorite butt-rubbing spots... (see above picture that I took myself).

Mommy is getting even sicker lately. Daddy goes around making her a lot of tea (check out my previous comment about how I beat the tea kettle). For some reason, he is pampering her a lot lately. That means he's not rubbing my butt or playing chase-the-toy (I only do two laps before I'm pooped).

Finally I'm including Nati's latest work of art...
